This calculator is a planning tool, not a quote. It shows included work, visible line items, assumptions, exclusions, and the items that still need a site visit.

Toronto/GTA bathroom rules
Trade quantities stay separate from product choices.
The calculator uses a maintained Toronto/GTA planning model. It is not a claim about every supplier or contractor, and it does not replace a measured site quote.
- First target: Toronto/GTA in CAD; Vancouver, Palo Alto, and Cary are deferred and cannot borrow Toronto pricing
- Demolition: two workers, eight hours per day, at an adjustable minimum-wage multiplier that defaults to 150%; one day through 100 sq ft and two days above 100 sq ft
- Plumbing: toilet, sink, faucet, shower, and drain points are counted separately at 600 each in local currency
- Electrical: each basic point is 100 in local currency; entered extra materials and permit or inspection amounts remain separate
- Board labor: 50 per actual sheet; 4 × 8 drywall and 3 × 5 cement board use their real coverage and 10% waste
- Schluter: one complete reviewed kit, never membrane square footage or a duplicate prefab base and drain product
- Custom vanity: 400 per linear foot installed; custom countertop: 80 per sq ft installed
- Shower glass: 40 direct cost per confirmed installed-glass sq ft, including standard installation
- Painting: labor and materials at 6 direct cost per bathroom floor sq ft; paint gallons are not charged separately
- Waste bin: Toronto/GTA uses a CAD 600–1,000 direct-cost planning allowance for one residential 10-yard bin; provider weight, rental days, overage, tax, permit, and address availability still require a project quote
- Selling price: direct cost plus one 20% markup, before tax

Toronto/GTA prices are not reused for another city without a separate review.

Dated inputs, such as Ontario minimum wage, change only from their documented effective date.
- 04Reconciliation
Visible line items must sum exactly to the displayed low and high totals.
- 05Visible uncertainty
Site-specific work remains a separate quote instead of becoming a guessed fixed amount.
